Standard solutions of L-tyrosine at different concentrations were prepared and their absorbance (A) at 275nm was directly measured using a UV spectrophotometer. A calibration curve was generated by plotting absorbance A (ordinate) against tyrosine concentration (abscissa). Based on the calibration curve, the specific enzyme activity was calculated to be ≥30 U/mg.
